It's always fun looking forward to something... especially a last minute trip. We both woke up Friday morning excited, anticipating a fun time together to celebrate some anniversaries (10 yr. dating, 2 yr. proposal/engaged, and 6 month wedding). We went straight home from work, packed, dropped off our dog to my sister's and we were on our way to St. Pete!
After checking into our hotel, we relaxed in our room and went out for drinks...

The next morning we enjoyed a nice brunch at Beverly's a restaurant a friend, Paige recommended. When we had to wait to be seated, Daniel joked with one of the server's "We ARE the Beverly's... does that reduce our wait time any?"! :)
It was pretty overcast, but we managed to spend some time lounging on the beach, just reading and relaxing. We also watched some football at their beach bar before heading home.
While our trip was short, it was fun and just what we both needed. It's always nice to reconnect and share some alone time, away from it all. :)
